Let the debate begin!
So did Robby drive at less than 100% just to get the finish, or was he going for it and flat out got beat by Andy in his Geiser? Can we now claim that Geiser builds the best performing TT?

Re: Let the debate begin!
I think Andy is pretty tough to beat when he is on. Geiser is just plain Good People that sure seem to have a lot of trucks on the grid
On any given day, all the builders build a formidable package. But like its been said before, who really has the most Big wins and Championships? I think you'd have to agree RG trucks, his old ones, his clones, whatever are at the top of the leaderboard of history. His desgns are not for everybody, but the results speak for themselves

I think robbie figured out the vertical pedal on the right cannot be set up like a top fuel digger 1" of movement at the pedal equals WFO.

Re: Let the debate begin!
I think RG probably for sure made sure to not take chances that he normally would. I am sure his number 1 goal was to finish and finish in a good position. Now with that being said I doubt Robby at any point of the race wasnt on it with intent to win. and RG still at 90% is faster than 95% of the people in off road. But regardless, Andy not only has serious skills behind the wheel but he has an amzing team and truck! Like I said in a nother thread, nothign against BITD but I would love to watch Andy run in SCORE next year to ee a head to head championship battle.

Re: Let the debate begin!
There is nothing to debate, When RG just stays in the pack the whole time it is a no brainier he was doing what he needed to do and got the job done. The big picture to win the war is way more important than running 100 percent the entire time to win the battle and chance loosing the war. Andy AND Scott can have absolutely nothing taken away from them as they won but that does not make his truck make suddenly the best of all or RGs not the best or slow. RG would have been a fool to race like his standard race. What cannot be debated is Andy and Scott had nothing to lose and was the best prepared yesterday and I am sure his dad Scott had a lot to do with the win yesterday with his great and perfect planning and following there race plan to the letter. Andy may have won the battle yesterday which makes me extremely happy and proud of him, but RG won the war! Congrats to both!!!

According to the dirtnewz interview with RG.........He said he was going to treat this race like all the same and keep up the pace and go for the win.....hmmm?

Re: Let the debate begin!
I'm loving the new SCORE enforcing rules, drivers/riders changed their ways and the outcome is noticeable, I'm talking in particular about class 22 with KAWASAKI taking the win, isn't great? "No more creative lines"

Re: Let the debate begin!
To add to what Harleys Dad said as I agree with everything he posted. I think Robby went fast enough to put himself in a position to win at the end of the race, which up to RM 540 when he was like 8 miles back or 14 minutes behind, a flat tire could have changed the entire outlook of the race and I think heading into the siltbeds just passed Santa Tomas and Urapan it would have been an all out war between him and Andy. However, with whatever the hiccup was that Robby had at RM 540 or BFG Pit 5 with down time of about 10 minutes, I think that made Robby's decision to just get the finish.
Now Robby may have said that he was going to run the pace to win or what not, but I think what that really translates into is with 100 miles to go if their is a chance to win, lay it all on the line, if not just keep doing what he was doing.
