Hit and Run
So I'm leaving my house late tonight in San Marcos to go put a starter in my friends broke down truck when I see this. My neighbor is slowing to turn in to her driveway when a beater desert truck starts skidding behind her. As I wait for the worst, he slams her rear corner hard and both vehicles come to a stop. Then he punches it, blowing out his front tire and wasteing the side of both vehicles. Naturally I spun a donut in the street and after checking to see if the people were okay I began to chase him down. After turning the corner, I couldnt see him, then i see his brake lights and sparks up the street. He was driving with no headlights on three wheels. I chased him a good 10 miles, where in the process he ran over mailboxes, chased cars off the road, and plowed through farm fields. His last ditch effort was to take me up a dead end street that led to an offroad spot I knew very well. Before I get the chance for some more offroading, he loses it on the corner, and takes out another car, this time parked and a fire hydrant. This finished off the truck, and the guy took off on foot. I lost him in the mixture of the dark and the now pouring rain, but was with his truck. That was about as exciting as any race for me.
After leaving the scene there, I drove back to my neighbors. They were fine, they had made it to within 10 feet of there house. Odd thing was there were no cops, fire trucks, or ambulances. They were all at the other scene to help the "hitter". After an hour and a half, and three more phone calls, one cop came flyin up to the scene like she was first on scene. After we told her how long it was, she calmed down, and took our reports. In that hour and a half, another neighbor made it down to 7-Eleven and saw the same cop and made it back with coffee for everyone. Hmmmmm
Anyways, you dont need to look out for this guy, because his truck is wasted and I didnt get to see him. I just wanted to share my crazy night.
Truck was a primer grey standard cab long bed 70's Ford. He lived on Cassu street is what the cop said.
(Props to the driving skills of my lil sis, she was the one actually driving, I only got to drive from the back seat)
looks like the Chevy can outrun the Ford
And don't bother telling me what I did wrong, I had to hear it from the 911 operator the whole time we chased him

Re: Hit and Run
You were in the back while your sister drove? She does a donut on the street and tears after him while you roll around in the back seat like loose groceries? Grow a sack man! Take the wheel!
BTW how late tonite was it? It is only 4pm now. lol

Re: Hit and Run
Did I mention that my sis races too. She did great, and there wasnt anything in this world that would get her to let me drive her truck. And there was another girl in the front passengers seat. I was the nice guy and sat in the rear. It happened at around 11:20pm on Thursday night.
