Seed 9 Rally organization would like to thank ALL of the off-roader competitors at their Henderson-Jean BITD race this past weekend that stayed at Gold Strike Casino.
We like to thank you for not tempting to test on the other side of the I-15 in Jean where our stages were at...so thank you for respecting our request ...
We had a blast talking to a bunch of you and getting to know you guys. Hope everything went well and it sounds like you guys had a blast as I read your post.
Our odo check calibration was right behind Gold Strike Casino for the ralliest which was in between you guys going to your first stage. What a in between mixture of off-road vehicles with rally cars...Trent Beavers was trying to see if he could do both but did not know how the schedule would be to get from one to the other and get teched and registered. Thanks for trying Trent hope to see you at Desert Storm in March.
But Bill Holmes who is a off-roader as quite a few know him in his Bilstein F-150 truck and is now doing both off-road and rally... was going up against Doug Chernis a road racer. It was quite a battle on the first stage at night but he blew a head gasket and was out by the second stage. Doug then went up against Camero Jim Morris (another road racer) but Doug won the rally by 79 seconds over Jim.
It was cold out there but the volunteers got through it..you gotta love those volunteers!
But in all, we had a great time meeting you guys at the casino and I think this was the first time that small percentage of all of the motorsports organizations were present in the same area...NASCAR, SNORE, BITD and Rally America...
Have a great Christmas/New Year and we all get ready for our next year prospective racing endeavors. Good luck next year.
