Re: VanBeekum Yamaha SR1 Wheely-Jump at Speedworld
I witnessed these things out there on Sunday "WOW" now how to harness the power is the question?
Very cool concept, they were lifting in between the two big tables on the first straight and then blipping the throttle off the second one still landing where the big trucks do. Pretty amazing I want one.

I forgot to mention the sound of these things. Not like the Supercross of old and not like the Supercross of new, but entirely an animal all of their own.

The power isn't too crazy....once you get used to driving these, it's right there when you need it, and mellows out when you don't - that is what makes them so fun to drive! I set mine up before the big jumps just like a truck.....tap the brake, back on the throttle up the face and viola! Perfect! If you just hammer down like you drive a regular Rhino....well.....up comes the nose - lol!
Crazy thing is......our SR1 motors are butt stock. We won't allow built motors in our class - for cost, to keep things even, and just safer all around. But imagine what a built one would do??
