sloppy throttle shafts in my dual 44's
i hear these are a real bear to fix. who can help me out? where can I take them? how much will this cost to fix? I also believe this is the reason i am having a slight vacuume leak that I cant find. and also when my car sits after driving gas leaks out of the bottom of the carbs.

Why would you have to replace the shaft and blades? Just drill it out, put a bushing in there, ream to size. What am I missing?

I don't know what you are missing. All I know is the last person i know of that attemped this he ended up going to a single carb.

The shafts wear as well as the butterfly's from the shafts being loose. Just putting a bushing in will make it better, but not perfect. I have re-bushed them in the past with decent results, but their not going to be like new again unless you change all the worn parts.
