That's right I forgot I had also considered a Trophy Lite. Just in the preliminary stages for sure.

I am here at the Airport waiting to get on the plane. We need to talk.

Then take that amount and add a few zeroes to it. The easy part is buying it. The expensive part is keeping it running and racing and taking care of your crew.
Don't bother me. I'm wasting potential.
Life's a grave, dig it.

If your interested in buggies, 1/2 1600 is a good starter class, do you want to race single or two seat? Ive got them both... for sale... for you!

Before you decide take a trip to Colorado Springs/Peyton CO. and I can talk to you about many classes, we prep class 1s, class 10s, Jeepspeeds, class 3s , class 8s and we are now building a new class 7200/6 along with our class 5 and class 7100 Championship Winning car and truck. We also just ran and Won the Henderson BITD race with the class 10 of Cory Keysar's Jimco. I'm just a call from you hope to talk to you.

Re: Which Class to Start in?
I would start in a Class 12 as it's the best car for the money in regards to speed, quality of ride, prep cost, and reliability. It's also a very forgiving car and can take a beating from a new driver. That's what I'm going to build my boys at the end of next year. You are from Golden Colorado so I hope you can smell the hops from your house.

Re: Which Class to Start in?
I know there are going to be several Zeros attached to the sport. Especially when I move up to the TT's. Just from what i have seen in the one event I was in.
I was thinking that I would want as much suspension as possible. That course at the RATR seemsed to be pretty rough and although I have spent a lot of time in the desert Riding my KTM's it is a lot different. Was that course typical? I do like the looks of the trucks.
I am definately going to continue to rent as I do my research. I am planning on doing the Mint 400. I certainly don't want to be a rolling chicane. Those VORE Trucks seemed pretty easy to drive fast.

Re: Which Class to Start in?
TROPHYLITE all the way!!! Especially since it seems like your ultimate goal is trophy trucks, might as well learn the handling characteristics of a truck and hone your skills to that. Plus, buggy guys are just plain DORKS
In all seriousness, 1/2-1600 is another great option, some of the fastest unlimited drivers out there started in this class

I'd go straight into trophy trucks if you can afford it. Jim Bult did it and he's had nothing but mad success.
