Brake lines
I need to pipe my brake system on a buggy and I wanted to get some advice :
1) Should I hard line to my pivot points or just use hose?
2) I assume it is best to use braded flex for all pivots?
3) any advice on a brand of hose or line?
Thanks!!!

Re: Brake lines
use hard line as much as you can. Pivot points will need to have a flex line plumbed in. Use steel braided brake line for the flex line. Not sure what you are working on, but the standard size for brake line is 3/16.
200MPHTape- since you are in santee, make a trip down to Johnsons buggy on mission gorge. I forget his name, but the guy who makes all the fittings/brake lines is a encyclopedia of information when it comes to brakes, he helped me out a ton

Re: Brake lines
hard line is better but u are going to spend a lot more time bending, flaring welding on mount tabs. hose is easy just zip tie but u will get more flex in the petal but on a buggy does it really matter their so light that u don't push on the petal that hard. u will most likely only notice it when ur parked and push hard on the petal.
i recommend stainless steel hard line if u go that way.

Re: Brake lines
200mphtape, i think ur talking about a line lock, u could go to fibertech in santee. if u have a 4 wheel brake set up u will need a proportioning valve too.

Re: Brake lines
Do some research on the expansion of GOOD brake hose under varying pressures and lengths... you might be surprised at how little it swells.

Re: Brake lines
I would run steel tube a much as possible. Oem do it they must know something. Steel is cost effective and will last longer then any flexible hose.

Re: Brake lines
denends on how nice ur buggy is. steel hard line works good i use it but i still use the AN flare nuts and fittings its just so much cleaner and u dont have too do a double fare.
