Old shortcourse offroad pictures
Well, it's snowing here again in the midwest and I'm bored, so here's some pictures.
Maybe some of you have some old shortcourse pics you'd like to post up.

Re: Old shortcourse offroad pictures
Ranger,
No Rick that I know of. Doesn't ring a bell.
The big wheel race was something that Lake Geneva Raceway put on back in the 70's.
It seemed to be a big hit, while they watered the track between race's.
I won that race! I'm just under the person in the blue helping the kids in the 2nd age group. I was trying to get the holeshot from the 2nd row, and it worked. Thanks to Ed Evens and his idea to put duct tape on the front wheel and start real slow, and not spin..
Later, in the late 80's my mom brought the idea back and put the big wheel races on again. She was able to
get all the different race teams to donate something for the goody bags. All the kids got something!
I'll never forget when Ivan the Ironman came to our camp site, asking for my mom, and wanting to donate to the Big Wheel Race. Good Times for sure.
