Has anyone ever been to a race in Australia, if so what did you think. Also what does everyone think of offroad racing in Australia?

Re: Australian Racing
Big country to race in. Get Fosters beer to step up and bring the top teams from here and put on a big race. It would be unreal.

Re: Australian Racing
I went to australia to play a gridiron game in Townsville and Cannes. The place is amazing. Kinda funny that everyone that thinks of Australia thinks of Fosters as the countries beer. Thats kinda like looking at Miller High Life for us as the national beer. I had the VB beer when I was over there and you guys dont mess around with the watered down stuff at all.
That would be awsome to get Pfearless and the TT boys over there and maybe the Protruck guys since they travel and hit a race up over there.

Re: Australian Racing
i think that a race in AUS would be great, especially since the protrucks already travel why not hit up the country with the most outback. Im sure they would be stoked to see a TT or two, i mean its not like most of these teams couldnt afford it.
i also heard that if you ask for a Fosters in AUS they'll laugh at you.

Re: Australian Racing
yeh your right, I dont know one person that drinks fosters. Their would only be one or 2 races that would be big anough for the TTs to bother coming over and that would be the Finke Desert Race and the Australian Safari, anyone that is thinking of coming over etc keep in mind that our team is hopefully putting a full on assualt on the Australian Safari and I'm sure if we had in writing that we could get a TT over I'm sure we could soem kind of sponsorship to bring you guys over. That would be awesome.
cheers

Re: Australian Racing
weather for Finke and Aussie Safari= hot days cold nigths and mornings
Terrain= whoops, long gravel roads, sandy sections, soemtimes rocky outcrops
Finke is 220km there and back so 440km
Aussie Safari varies each year but roughly over 1000km
To give you an idea of the competition, there are roughly 9 jimco A-Arm cars, 1 american stadium truck, 4 Racecos, 2 chenowrth milleniums(1 2-seat, 1 1seat), a heap of Aussie made trucks which are nothing compared to your trucks, I would be surprised if you used them for pre-runners.
But we are pretty quick over here as with what little cars weve got we prep them well and most fo the above cars are at every National event.
The aussie Safari is mainly a 4x4 dominated event as the buggies havnt really tried it, they get alot of overseas competitors doing it(i think Bob Land did it once), we knwo one guy who went in it in a buggy and he said he could have won it if he had the overall speed, so as our car is much much faster in a straight line than his im sure we could come home with a win, who knows what a TT would do.

Re: Australian Racing
well that would be alot of fun to see some american compotition over there. especailly if we brought some of the more advanced vechiles like a TT. theres no doubt that it would spark a few ideas on how to improve some set ups down under.
