2010 Dakar Stage 9: Copiapo - La Serena

Liaison : 0 km - Spéciale : 338 km - Liaison : 209 km - Total : 547 km
The last day in the Atacama will be a good opportunity to make the best of sand and dunes:
it is mainly on the first 180 kilometers that the difficulties will be gathered.
The terrain being fairly open, the bikers will take off in lines of twenty.
At this stage of the race, the leaders are clearly identified in each class but the podium can still change at any moment.
In the same way, those who will have reached La Serena will certainly have
covered the toughest part, technically speaking.
A long distance will however have to still be covered with cold blood and taking it easily.
For the amateurs, it is on these qualities that a Dakar can be played.

Another day of competition ahead. May the best one win the stage!

Mark commented on FB that Stage 9 has been shortened. Only 180km of dunes, he says he needs more not less! Jajajajaja!

I'm looking forward to events unfold IF Al-Attyia closes in on Sainz. They both want it so bad and looking at last years Dakar and this years Silkway that could become quiet interesting. I believe RG will also shine 1 - 2 more times.

the last part of your signiture sounds like good advice if your stoopid enough to get pulled over for a DUI.

I dont drink and drive otherwise nobody should worry about MY signature. I'm sure the operator of this website would inform me if it is offensive and not suitable.

Was that humor?? Well, if it was then I have to apologize for a snappy answer, I don't want to offend nobody.
How should I know?? The gentleman awarded me today earlier a fool of the day prize or such which is not really a thing ones can consider a friendly motion...
But again: If that was humor: SORRY!

To make better time in the stages, Robby and Andy need to learn to change tires without stopping! I think this is how those Germans at VW have kept their machines up front!

Lol, Swabonians as the accent let's me guess. That should be a R 75 or R 90 BMW. Good job. But that would mean BJ need to be in front......
