trophy truck style bedsides for Silverado

I looked at Fiberwerx, glass works, Hannaman, trailer products sites, and I'm not finding anything other than standard bulged bedsides

Does anyone make a more trophy truck style beside for a silvy?

I have to replace the bedsides on this truck

I'd like to replace them with something more like this

Fiberglass can be easily modified. Take a look at what RFS is doing to a standard TT body to get the look they are looking for on their 1-off Class 6 Truck.

We can do the same thing with the bedsides, however it is much more practical for you to do the rough mods right on your vehicle application to achieve the correct look and changes.

i agree why isnt one of the manf. making a trophy style bedside?? Ive seen this question pop a few times. . im one of them!! lol . there is definetly a demand for them i understand the molds are hard to make but there is a demand for supply of this nature for the silvys, and money that can be made. not to mention said manf. would be "first to the market" with an awsome new product that would/should (not speaking for manf. like fibewerx, your on the front line but "should") sale. buyers are not going to want to pay a super xtra amount to have a custom one made or have the ability and or time to make there own...

It is actually not a whole lot more exspensive. More than anything it is time consuming and the participating customers just have to know the process and be patient.

We have a proven program that allows customers to collaborate with FiberwerX and each other to come up with the parameters of a custom project. With several partys buying in it keeps the cost down and you guys get exactly what you want.

The main issue for FiberwerX is staying on top of what customers want and what is not already available. I always recommend making contact and letting the guys at the shop know. Get together with your fellow chevy owners and talk about this, and then come at FiberwerX with a few parties who are willing to participate.

Re: trophy truck style bedsides for Silverado

this is not to knock fx in anyway, and i get what your saying. however a freind of mine recently went through you guys to get some glass for his 04-07 f-150. I dont remember what exact length bed he had but it was not the crew bed but the ext cab bed (not longbed) and you guys dont or had not made one at that point. FX was more than willing to make him the glass but (again this is what was relayed to me and in no way to knock here) wanted to charge him more than production glass and keep his truck for x amount of time i think it was like 2 weeks. I would be more than willing to be patient to wait, of course that doesnt speak for everyone out there. I just dont see us getting enough people together to be able to put that kind of money up all at the same time to have it done. Its just not going to happen...
WHeN a vendor comes to me and needs a truck/bike to build on and create a new product you are given that 1st production unit as payment and thanks. i.e. k/n needed a 2007 tundra new body i hooked them up with a fellow employee who had just bought one they took his truck and got it back to him new intake included as thanks. Now whats k/n doing, making a killing in profit on them at the surrender of the 1st one that maybe cost them $150 bucks. they sell for over $300. My point being i can see why he just went, "ok nevermind" when he was going to be charged more so more $$$ to get what he wants and what you guys needed anyways.. I wish you guys did make more chevy stuff, i just got the trailer products fronts and they look good ya, but are flimsy to me compared to my last hanneman or glassworks and yours.. You guys make some of the best and best looking stuff out there you always see me pro spectating with a thumbs up when you'll come by. we just need some chevy love is all..

revehart get them things on there and lets see some pics!! did they custom make them for you or are these a production setup they make, ive never heard of these guys.

I see and understand the nature of your comment but, considering the customer base and market it is an unfair to compare K&N's prototype program to FiberwerX.

    Besides
We design each peice from scratch, hand crafted.

Before K&N even begins tooling some new product up it has been digitally modeled and ran through hundreds of computer test. They need the new car platform to insure proper installation, fitment, quality assurance, and things like that.

I could only dream of what that would be like.

No kidding how cool would it be to design the fenders in the computer with something like CAD. Then have the mold cut and manf. under a computer controlled unit!!! making the mold by hand is just so tedious and time consuming. Thats not really impossible to do with todays technology i would think, expensive, very expensive but id think it could be done with an unlimited super budget.. lets call Donald Trump.lol
