Cheer's for your comment John I were originally going to run my turbo V8 Lexus out of my old truck I had it all sitting in there for set up then decided lighter and more nimble my be worth a go.

I saved a 172lbs from the engine change and also gained more room for myself and the passenger as we have no minimum weight restrictions here its got to be all good.

And its a cheap option as the engine is a japanese import at cost of $1850 NZ dollars which is only worth 70cents of your money.

And we hope to get the same hp out of the smaller Nissan SR20 than the V8.

Should be interesting as our Class 8 is our unlimited Class Trucks so will be running against 2 & 4WD V8's.

Check out the photo of the V8 sitting in the frame it took up alot of room and I still had to fit all the turbo and pipe work. Thats what made my mind up and changed to the 4 cylinder.

So how is your new truck coming along?
Our pile of parts is reaching critical mass, should have the new chassis cleaned and in the work shop this weekend. No doubt my brother will be taking lots of photo's as we go.
Why have one, when you can have two for twice the price!!!

Yeah the old truck is fixable but we always wanted to do a Ute so we are tranfering all the goodies over to a 93 Xtra cab 4x4.

Working on it flat out new 3mm alloy one piece floor now completed and side panels in 1.2 mm sorted.
Twin fuel pump in tank system ticked off the list.
Engine is all pre wired for Link ECU.
    Even done to aircleaners sorted.

Getting closer but everytime I take a look I seem to be adding more to the to do list.

Thumbs up Re: Kiwi's attempt at a twin seater Pro-lite.

Sorry not yet getting closer just finishing off alloy panel work. And sorting out some turbo stuff like external wastegate and things were going to run stock wastegate but decided to change over now.

And have also gone to water air intercooler which now means I have to mount another radiator and pump system.

Hmmm the more you changes the longer it takes.

Thanks very much for the interest.
