Re: New Pro-2 build
Looks amazing!! Curious as to why you made the door bars that way instead of triangles? Is it less weight or jsut a personal preference?
Thanks,
Mike

side impact protection would be my guess, and my question is are the front a-arm pivots offset to the passenger side to compensate for the engine being on that side to make suspension forces close to the same per corner??

If you look closely you will notice that the arm mounts are not offset. The main square rails are the giveaway, the cab section is simply purpose built. These trucks only have a driver, so no real need for the extra weight and tube on the passenger side. Nascar is similar in some ways to this. I believe that most of the corr / torque trucks are built this way. Obviously a TT or desert truck is built differently.
Looks good guys, thumbs up!

Re: New Pro-2 build
We've built all of our short course trucls with the offset cab...we like to keep all of the weight more centeralized in the truck. This is our 8th pro-2 chassis we've built in the last 6 years. If youve been to the lucas races lately we built the two seater pro2 that they use...its basicly the same chassis as this but a two seater. I will post more pics as we work on the truck, we are starting to assemble it now. Thanks for the comments!

looking at the pic the front a-arm pivots are not centered on the chassis.
not knocking the builder. bet they handle awesome. I just thought it was cool for weight distribution.
