What I don't get is why would the BLM in NV want to stop racing. It would be like a contractor wanting to stop construction. No racing for the BLM means reduced jobs. I know a couple of BLM rangers here in Plaster City that would pay your entry fee just so they would have someone to ticket. Just kidding of course but you get the point.

I've had many conversations with the BLM here. I end every one of them confirming that we don't exist without the BLM and the BLM doesn't exist without us (in some form or another).

Since this is public land there is a process that needs to be followed. The Feb 10 date seems way out of line.

This could be compared to a bunch of us at a bar and some guy says "all in favor of changing the word democracy to dick..tatorship? the I / A.....holes have it"

Does nt anyone stick up for these endangered Turtles? Do racers just not give a f about the enviroment? After all didnt all these older racers bring these turtles home in the 60s-80s as pets for their kids? What happens when the Bald Eagle is in danger? are we going to still ** OOH LA LA**** OOH LA LA**** OOH LA LA**** OOH LA LA**** OOH LA LA** and race? I could see all the bitching if it was about big business or govt taking over the land, but you are all taking it out on the turtle. We need to step up and move if we have too, big deal. Racers have probably the biggest carbon foorprint as it is,1 (unsmogged)race vehicle,5 diesel chase vehicles,tons of spectators..etc. I can commend sanctions like BITD and SCORE who will do everything possible to reroute a course around burrows, but then theres bodys like SNORE who dont give a f and make courses 6 ft fom a burrow(ie BB 400 2006) Lets just extinct another creature form our planet for a trophy! Remember seeing horned toads and foxes? well there gone too. Its a priviledge to race, not a right. You can write all the letters you want and it aint gonna do S! It takes ONE enviromentalist to stop a race, just 1. Mother Nature first,racing second.
