Dynasty 200 dx??
So does anyone use one w/water cooled torch??? Just wondering whats involved in converting to wc... Had mine for 3-4 yrs or so, & haven't used it much.. Don't care for the big torch.. Recently had to replace the torch on trusty old airco, to a 350 amp.. So it sucks for most projects, and not interested in changing torches all the time.. The wp 20 couldn't hang... Would like to use 1 of these wp 20 torches i have around here, on the dynasty... I also have made my own cooler before, so i just need to know how the wc torch hooks up, since they use a cam lock on the leads.. Thanx in advance..

I sold a kit to customer of mine.. Has the same machine. I believe you get the cooler, tig torch and all the connectors.. You supply the coolant.
You can find more info at
http://www.weldtec.com/
Runs about $8 to $900.00. Depending on the type of pump. Vane vs. Gear

Get the miller 1 gallon cooler, the Coolmate 1. It was made for it. I have it and love the combo. I can weld all day long consistently without a problem.

Re: Dynasty 200 dx??
You can get the Miller CoolMate 1 for $550 (website price. . .you can probably get it for less at your local Praxair. . .I know the guys at our Praxair usually sell everything for less than the list price. . .which is REALLY cool. If you have a student ID, then they really try to hook you up. . .they have a deal with school, the school refers to the students to Praxair for their supplies and Praxair hooks them up with reduced prices. . .Praxair gets more business and the students don't have to break the bank to get their supplies. . .everyone wins). . .
So I would recommend checking out the CoolMate 1 from Praxair before you drop $500 trying to make your own. . .just my $0.02

i can make a cooler for less than $250 easily.. As i have scrap stainless in my way, as well as a welder set-up for ss @ all times.. Also have 2 wp-20 tig torches (250 amp) sitting on the shelf.. The pump is $100 from grainger, regulator i don't recall off the top of my head, then a trans cooler off an old racecar, and a small fan... Some simple wiring & done... Also going to build a cart for the whole 9 yards.. And still have it to where i can take the welder out to the field to use as a stick welder, ran off my trailblazer 302... Both can run 1/8" 7018 @ the same time.. Without any problems... Both are awesome machines!! I just like building everything i can myself.... Lol

I hear ya. . .I like to build most of my stuff myself as well. . .I just thought that I saw you mention you could build one for $500 in an earlier post. . .sounds like you've got a plan and already have the material as well though. . .
. . .Good Luck!
