Re: Texana 180 March 27th
I will be there, hopefully in my new class 10. I just bought a Lothinger less engine. I need to find a 2.4L, low mileage ecotec for it. The salvage yards in Austin are not too good. If I can find one and get it in, I will race the 10 car. If not, I will race my JeepSpeed.
Anyone know where to find an ecotec in TX?

Sweet Mr Frick! buggies rule... What did you get and from where? Pics?
Have you checked places like Jegs or Summit. Might have cheap(ish) ecotec. Why not a big aircooled motor, we have a hell'ofa aircooled engine builder in Hutto you know.
Don't know all the rules around 10 cars, but might be worth considering.

Oh and I should be there racing my 12 car. Provided my tranny gets wrapped up here in the next week or so.

Re: Texana 180 March 27th
oh, yea, 831 is planning on making it also, should be there sometime, hmmmmm, !!!!WEDNESDAY!!!! March 13th four Wheel Parts in Austin is having a sidewalk event, everyone that is close to Austin, bring your cars to show them off. I would like to have more vehicles there than the Crawlers, for some reason, there is a buzz that we arent that strong in Texas. Its Saturday March 13th, at the Austin store. I have Sonic Sponsoring us for those of you that bring your cars, free lunch, drinks, Flyers to hand out and coupons for the crowd, and then Baby acapulcos for Happy hour, Page, are you in? Anyway, let me know if you can make it, it would be a great opportunity to show our cars off. I have a great line up of events for the race weekend, so make sure you spread the word thanks everyone. Fyi, Please help me police the Pit area and on the track, some people still think that we have a cleaning crew at the races, also let everyone know that the Race March 27th is a non Moto /Quad / personal vehicles event, we have certain regulations as far as Insurance, if i loose that, there goes the races, so please help me control those individuals that are new to our sport, thanks

Just pull the engine out of the Jeep and jam it into the new car and race class 1!

Re: Texana 180 March 27th
I found an engine today! Less than 16K miles, delivered to my door for only $960. Thanks, to everyone that was helping look for a new engine.
I will be at the 4 Wheel Parts event. The more exposure we get for the racing, the more people will get cars and race with us. Maybe someday John will actually not make a loss putting on a race for us.
By the way, my JeepSpeed is for sale, so pass the word.
Thanks
