Treypal codrives with me. He gets to go to SF instead of helping me wrench on the car this weekend.

I just got in the motor today. I am waiting on the adapter plates. Hopefully they will be in Fri so I can get the motor mounted this weekend. Then I get to work on the fuel system, cooling, ecu, etc. It will be close for the 27th, but I think I can make it.

I am working on a test run for the 20th if I get my car done in time. John Clark may have something going on for testing after the 4 Wheel Parts event? Contact john for more details and see if he can make it happen.

Steve, I am going down there to do research for you. I plan on looking at every 10 car that passes us by. Ya'll can follow our progress on my SPOT gps tracker page. I'll turn it on next Wed. when we cross into Mexico.

I just got in the adapter plate and new clutch. That should keep me busy until I get in the ECU, headers, etc. Should be ready for the race.

How is the cell phone coverage out there?

Was thinking of using cell to reach pits if we have issues on the course. Would a GMRS/FRS work for most of the course?

Found a intercom, but no radio yet. Trying to figure out some options.

Coverage is pretty good. I've got Sprint and it works fine in the pits.

Hey Daryl...if there is a serious need to contact someone, I'm sure you can flag anybody down and they can radio to pits for you. Your welcome to pit next to us also if need be .

Well if you look at the corse map one point shows Verizon tower. I would say cell service is good !
