Sounds very cool, but already committed to the MDR race - chasing, and possibly racing! (bump anyway!!)

2010 R&R Event is on for next week April 2nd and 3rd. We have some fantastic raffle prizes lined up along with a host of Baja's usual suspects. Open to bikes, quads, pre-runners, UTV's, etc.

There are a few rooms left at Rancho Santa Veronica for those who wish to head down Thursday night. Rooms are $65 per night. If you are interested contact Joan Ellis at 619/857-7389.

There will be routes for riders of all levels. Friday nights dinner at HP Ranch is going to a blast as usual.

AUCTION ITEMS- RACERS AND RANCHERS ANNUAL FUNDRAISER

Attention R&R Members:

This year’s annual fundraiser event is approaching next week. Due to the many scheduled race events, this year’s Ride/Drive event was forced to be scheduled over the holiday weekend. Subsequently, the amount of attendee's will be about half of previous years. We have many fantastic raffle items for this year’s event including donations and products from: Baja.net, MSR, GPR Stabilizers, Master Craft, Hurley International, SCORE, Rancho Santa Veronica, Mohard Racing, Del Amo Motorsports, General Tire, Baja Pits, Andy Grider and more!

As a way of showing our appreciation to all active R&R members, we have decided to offer all of you an opportunity to win two exciting auction items that have been graciously donated. Those who are not attending our event can bid through midnight, Wednesday, March 31, 2010. Those who are attending our event will have the opportunity to outbid non-attending members on Friday night at Horsepower Ranch.

THE AUCTION PRIZES:
1. PRE-RUN THE BAJA 500 FOR ONE FULL DAY IN A TROPHY TRUCK WITH BAJA LEGEND LARRY ROESELER- VALUE= PRICELESS!!
The winner of this auction item will be scheduled to meet Larry and the Roger Norman Motorsports Team in Ensenada during a scheduled pre-run for this year’s Score Baja 500. Sit in the co-driver’s seat alongside Larry and hold on!

RULES:
1. Non-attending members of the event on April 2&3rd can bid through midnight, Wednesday, March 31, 2010.
2. Non-attending members place your bid via email to [email protected]
a. Your bid should include:
i. The amount of your bid
ii. Your full name
iii. Your email address
3. Those who are attending our event will have the opportunity to outbid non-attending members on Friday night, April 2, 2010, at Horsepower Ranch.
4. All bidders must be a current annual member of Racers and Ranchers through June 2011 (i.e. if your membership expires on or before June 30, 2010 you must renew prior to bidding).
5. Anyone who is a paid member from July 1, 2009 through July 1, 2010 can bid without renewing.
6. Bidders who are not a current R&R member (as stated above) at the time their bid is placed will not count.
7. In the event a winner is deemed ineligible due to not being an active R&R member at the time of their bid, the next highest qualifying bid will be accepted.
8. The winning bid will be accepted and announced on the evening of April 2, 2010 at Horsepower Ranch.
9. If the winning bidder is not present at Horsepower Ranch on April 2, 2010, they will be notified by Monday April 5, 2010.
10. Payment of the winning bid is due by April 16, 2010. Failure to pay by this date will forfeit your bid and the next highest bidder will be contacted.

Here are a few more items to add to the raffle prizes list:

General Tire donated several dozen T-shirts and more GT hats as they were popular on last year event. I believe we are going to have plenty for all that attend.

GPR Stabizer has donated a complete V4 kit, retail over $500!!!

Carlos Orosco, from Baja Pits has donated a complete pit service for the 2010 Baja 500. If you are racing a bike or quad the gas is included. If you are racing a 4-wheel vehicle only the pit service (no race fuel included). If you are not already a member a $50 membership will be required.

Prizes from O'Neal Racing are coming in the mail this week. Expect some moto gear and/or Gift Certificates from O'Neal Racing.

CPR Fab will donate a trick front brake line for a CRF 450X.

Rancho Santa Veronica will donate a 2-night stay.

Some of the BEST news one can even dream off is the fact that we have potential rains in San Diego for Wednesday and Thursday (70% chance of rain). The conditions for this event will be epic with no dust, amazing traction and some of the best roost in Baja will be served all day long.

We still have room available and we hope all of you can make it for this annual event. Bike, quads, chase vehicles, side-by-side, prerunners and pick up trucks are welcome.
