I know that hole you hit. My buddy in a 7s truck ate it there once, too. Glad to see you're on the rebound. I'm building a class 5, too. See you on the course.

Re: Class 5 unlimited (#519 V2.0) Build Thread
My first race driving the class 9 I went into that hole and barely made it out. First I got myself sufficiently out of shape, then a class 5 tailing me a little too closely finished me off by plowing into the driver side of the car. It bent the crap out of the spindle and tie rod. The front tire from the class 5 went into our cab right next to me and tore up the body pretty good. The impact was so hard that my visor ended up in my brother's lap.
Pretty funny looking back but sucked at the time...a lot.
Hope is the first step on the road of disappointment

My first race I was in our 1600 and launched off the top landing in the hole on the bumper only. Knocked the wind right out of me. By time I got myself together people were running over to see if I was ok.
Keep up with the build pics. I cant wait to see that thing done.

CAR PROGRESS: Not much, but some. I got a fuel cell finally. Got a window frame. Picking up body panels next week. Cage is almost complete. Will be tabbing it out and bolting stuff on in the next few weeks.
Wheezy Progress: Not much there either. I actually feel worse now than I did a few months ago. Dr. says nerves are repairing themselves and that is why more pain than before, but says everything LOOKS good. I'm getting ready to step up the workout routine as well so that should help. Definitely not ready to race, but I did get in a car for the first time just a few weeks ago and it felt pretty good. Anyhow.... nobody cares about this crap, WHERES THE PICS!!!!

Car looks good, but don't those side bars near your elbow that lace up the side of the car and protect the driver from a side impact need to ne the same size tubing as the cage, 1 1/2" cage the 1 1/2" side bars also??

Sorry not being a hater, car looks really good, just have to get out the sawzall and grind flush real carefull, or not, MORE tech may let it fly, plenty of cars that way right now, Call ARTS Tech service, and ask if you are racing MORE.

Ya, it's fine for ALL series other than SCORE. THey teched the last car and that thing was a pile of dog manure in comparison.

So, after some more research we swapped out the smaller tubes. Got the motor and trans in, shocks are in, rack is in, fuel cell and seats are in. Time to start tabbin it out and mounting stuff!
