Re: flash memory
I have Kingston memory in my PC and I've had no problems with it and I regularly abuse it with my music editing softwear that eats up LOTS of memory.

Re: flash memory
if you have a camera that does panoramic pictures you sometimes lose that feature if yo udont run the brand specific memory. I have an Olympus and I lost that feature with aftermarket memory that was not olympus brand

Re: flash memory
Kingston actually isn't that bad a brand o' memory... matter of fact, a lot of branded memory isn't actually made by the folks on the label. They just throw their name on it.
If you don't mind the price , a lot of camera geeks swear by Lexar Media. SimpleTech will do ya just fine... And you can find it in just about any compusa.
It's a shame there aren't SD performance tests like these listings for CF cards:

If you want to do some serious searching for the best prices, try either cnet.com for price listings, or pricewatch.com.

Re: flash memory
Try SanDisk "Ultra".
Side by side, compared with the generic, SandDisk brand, software soaks up (multiple motor drive) images nocticeably faster on Nikon D1x.
