Brand New Las Vegas Track to Kick Off 2010 Lucas Oil Short Course Series

Dave Mason Jr. has a lot of new things happening in his life. After a recent 16th birthday he rushed to get his driver's license. He can now legally drive himself to Las Vegas Motor Speedway to kick off the 2010 Lucas Oil Off-Road Racing Series event to be held March 6th and 7th.
Dave Jr. will make his debut piloting the #365 Eleven Western Builders Limited Buggy for Western Motorsports. In addition to competing in the new class, Dave Jr. will be challenged by a brand new purpose built race track located at Las Vegas Motor Speedway, just north of downtown Las Vegas.
With its ten turns and giant table top, this technical track is sure to provide the high flying door to door exhilaration that's come to be expected of the Lucas Oil Off Road Racing Series. Dave Jr. will be equipped with a 1600cc VW Engine prepared by SR Performance. The single seat Alumacraft Limited Buggy will grip the dirt with the long standing reliable performance of BF Goodrich Long Trail Radial Tires.
"I have been working hard to get this car ready," said Dave Jr., who graduated last year from the Kart class after four-winning seasons. "It's been helpful to work on the car and get to know the aspects of it. But now I'm anxious to get behind the wheel on the track."
"It's the next step in my career and I'm ready for the challenge," added Dave Jr.
Originally scheduled for Lake Elsinore, CA the Lucas Oil Off Road Racing Series has relocated the first event of 2010, March 6th and 7th, to the Las Vegas Motor Speedway. Ticket prices are $30/day for adults, $10 for children. Weekend passes are available for $50/adult and $15/child. Children five and under are admitted free.
