Yup, in the works only 6 months from the release of Dirt 2. Sounds like they are going back to its more European, rally roots...

I thought the "Rally" portion of the game was the only part lacking in Dirt2. As long as they put more emphasis there without eliminating all the off-road stuff like Raid and Short course I'll be happy witht that.
They should break off the short course and baja racing off into another game.... Ameri-Dirt and Euro-Dirt.

Give us some seriously long Raid stages (Dirt2 raid stages were all over in a couple of minutes), get rid of the "Trailblazer" portion altogether (snooze-fest!), cut out about half of the RallyCross (fun, but way too repetitive in Dirt2), and give us proper rallying - cumulative stage times are a must, and events that actually feel like real-life events (a la Dirt) would be much appreciated - and the game would be epic.
To me the Rally Stages are the most fun even though I hate that the co-driver voice calls out the turns too late sometimes. I wish I could fire her in favor of AGM's Brian Lyttle. Ha!

Yep... often too late, and occasionally misses details. Usually by the time she's calling the turn I can already see which direction it is, and often enough I already have an idea how tight it is. I'd like to be hearing the call for the next turn as I'm turning into the current one. She only gets it right sometimes. Also, I found that compared to the first DiRT, the notes in DiRT2 aren't nearly as detailed. There's quite a few corners that would be 6's (possibly 5's even...) that aren't called. There's a few I noticed last night that are two relatively tight turns in the same direction (2's or 3's) with a 6 in between them in the opposite direction that isn't called. Knowing that ahead of time would change how I got out of the tighter bends.
Another nice feature missing from DiRT... the recce preview. Knowing a little about the stage so we can set up the car would help before having to race it. (And don't get me started on the mind-numbingly simple "set-up" feature of DiRT2.)
C'mon... you dont even need a co driver in DiRT 2. The tracks aren't long OR plentiful. haha.

I know the tracks are short and I would like to see more distance races for the truck tracks, need something like a Dakar section.
