Dunno.. but he was out of his car, which was stopped in the middle of the course in between mile 40-45 ish?

It was a motor @ mile 42...

His car was partially blocking the course but he was about 100 yds back with his safety triangle warning the other racers.

he had his red safety flag giving us the go ahead, and at mile 42 were you allowed to take your chase vehicle down the course?

Motor at RM42. Chases are not allowed to retrieve the vehicles. Supposed to wait for SNORE retrieval. After some back and forth about the danger of the situation, chase was allowed to retrieve him.
