    Caliente, what to expect?

I know everyone is still recovering from the Mint but we are in planning stages for the next race. Having never been to Caliente, we were hoping those of you have could shed some light on what we should expect. Things like pits, course, accommdations, places for supplies, etc. Any info you have would be great. Thanks!

Main pit plus 3 outer pits. Laps about 60 miles. Bring your tent or motorhome. Only a couple of hotels in town and they are booked. There is a grocery store and little hardware store in town. Very fun race. Not rough but very technical. Lots of trees!!

Yes you can, under the big cottonwood tree's. Also make sure and silicone or spray aquanet on your electrical because sometimes the water crossings get wild. Sat night the town puts on a great bar-be-que for about 5 buck donation right in the middle of the street down town. Also Fri. morning we do a meet and greet at the elementry school and all the kids get to come and get handouts, AUTOGRAPHS etc. Its like Mayberry F.D.

    Re: Caliente, what to expect?

Seems like there is a section that is closed to chase vehicles during the race and is pretty high elevation. The town of Caliente is racer friendly for sure.

This is a no chase race. SNORE has designated pit areas to cover the racers.
