Offroad Spec Cams?
I have a couple nascar engines that I am sending the cams in to get ground down at comp they all have a tone of durration and like 420 lift I was thinking of like 256/260 or 252/256 durration what do you typically see used in our application. In a small block/ odd fire v6... they are like 276/282 now...

The motor in question is a odd fire v6 it has been in storage since 93 it is a dyno only test motor and has 420 lobe lift with jesel 1.55/1.65 rockers
I have around 100 dyno pulls with documentation on it... with a 262/268 it pulled 455@7250 with a 390cfm carb it had around 350ftlb @ 4750

Re: Offroad Spec Cams?
I am about to order a custom Comp Cams grind in the next couple weeks for a 377 (400 block, 350 stroke). I am getting a single pattern cam - 248° int/ex at .050, 108 lca, and .580 lift with 1.5 rockers. Chevy heads have very good exhaust ports, and with a good race exhaust system, less exhaust duration is needed, assuming relatively low max rpm, say 6500-6800. Less ex duration will improve low to mid torque - helpful with a heavy truck on 37's.

That's where a roller cam can excel. Faster open and close provides longer wide-open time for a given duration.
