Re: APRIL 29, 2010 Commission Meeting, Senator Feinstein’s office briefing

At the last Commission meeting James Peterson gave a presentation about the bill, District 37 and ORBA made their pitch for the bill and expressed anger they worked on this for two years and we're not happy with it, D36 under pressure from above caved a bit and gave "conditional support" for the bill guess that means not as written. He did hear my concerns about the Wild and Scenic rivers on the SBNF, one of the Commissioners also talked about the Sand to Snow National Monument on the North East side of SBNF, was concerned about the designation status off some of the routes running of SBNF to the Desert which I forgot about.

Helen Baker also pointed out supporting a Wilderness bill even if it don't effect OHV isolates us from other recreations, which goes against the Principles of CTUC she may have been speaking on behalf of Ed Waldheim who could not make it, great point can we exist in a vacuum I don't think so. Also James Peterson did at least hear my concerns but didn't stay for much of the public comments, so I would recommend all speakers at the meeting send your concerns to Senator Feinsteins office directly :ATTN James Peterson, don't depend on Division to do this for you...TJ
