Baja Bug paint

I am having my Bug painted south of the border and I need to take the guy some paint. He says it is hard for him to get good paint and so I figured no problem any reason to head south is good for me. Here is my problem I have been told that if you buy auto paint in Orange county it is water based and if you buy in San Diego county it is better quality (Oil based?) I need to know where to go and what to buy also he said two stage paint and also clear coat a gallon of each. I live in oceanside and any help would be appreciated.

Hey Storman,

We get our paint at Tri City Paint (they call themselves TCP Global now), there's one in the Miramar area and one in the El Cajon area (right next to Gillespie Field). They can set you up with everything you need in whatever color you want.

well is it painted ? if so how was there work lets see to photos.

I just painted mine , It took 2 qt of Rustoliom gloss white from wall-mart @ $8.00
painted at 1pm at the car cruse at 5pm
