5 minutes.....
I don't know how much time you guys all spend on this site but it only takes about 5 minutes to do that Johnson Valley Impact thing. I'm pretty sure there are a lot of people planning on going to the Royal Purple 500 this weekend. Wouldn't it suck if that wasn't possible anymore.
Just looking for my next win and something to ride or drive in.

Thanks for the reminder, kept meaning to do it, but you motivated me!

Re: 5 minutes.....
The red portion on the left of this map is where we are racing this weekend and part of the proposed expansion that will end all forms of recreation in this area of Johnson Valley and Lucerne Valley. The five minutes that you spend on responding to simple survey goes a long way in to keeping the area open to the public. The claim is this area isn't used by the public so why not annex it.

Mad Max 8 - Thank you for making this post.
Go ahead and keep the responses coming. It will take me sometime to tabulate all the info. If it comes in a couple of days late that's okay just not weeks later.
You know what surprises me and I'm not calling anyone in particular out but....why do the big boys not get involved? Not in the survey or monetarily to the two or three non-profit organizations that are spending endless hours and volunteer dollars (yes we spend our own money) on such things as gas to get to meetings, hotels for out of town meetings with Congressmen, Board of Supervisors or trips back to Washington DC to testify in-front of different committees.
Do the big boys think they are immune from land closures or do they just have enough money to race elsewhere? I really wish one major team would step up, make a donation to Partnership for Johnson Valley www.pfjv.org and help us keep the land open. If you know anyone who meets the above please refer them to this post or have them contact me directly at 760-475-0409.
Thanks Kim

Apathy will kill this sport if we are not careful... Ironically: Most of the "Ballers" that post on here and the top teams have been called out and directly contacted numerous times RE these issues and they chose to turn a blind eye. They must be too important and self absorbed... Unless they have a sponsor to pimp or want everyone to stroke their ego and tell them how cool they are, they are useless and the community can't wait for them. To those that get involved; keep it up, you have to make up for the slackers! To those that don't care, you have no right to whine when they lock us out. To those who beat their chest on here when it suits them but are too self absorbed or cool to get involved; you suck... Thanks to those that step up to fight our fight we appreciate all you do! To the ballers; your silence is obvious and you should be ashamed of not caring enough to open your mouths. I bet they all speak up on the B500 adventures and tell us how cool they are...
PS, If this hits home you are part of the problem. These are my personal; comments and should not reflect on those I race, pit or do business with.

Re: 5 minutes.....
What is really sad is this thread and Kim's thread have less than 1,000 page views each, whereas other topics that are complete BS, command 250,000+ views. If people don't see this as a necessity, it is just a matter of time for the powers in Washington DC who have never visited the desert nor care anything at all about us to claim we are an insignificant group.
5 minutes of your time...
