2007 Dodge Ram Tires Stock or 33" or 35"

Trying to decide if I should level my 2007 Ram 2500 Diesel 4x4 and run some 35" or 33" or just leave it stock. I have had the truck for three and a half years now so a little change would be nice but their is also nothing wrong with stock. I am concerned with losing fuel economy. Just thought I would see what you guys have to say.

    Thanks,

    Alex

Re: 2007 Dodge Ram Tires Stock or 33" or 35"

I put a 2" leveling kit on the front and then 33"s.The 35"s were too tall and I would have needed a bigger lift to have them fit.
It looked great and did affect the milage a little.I got 18 on the highway with the 33"s and 20 when I went back to the stock wheels.

Dont know how to add a picture with this new forum.

I am surprised they didn't fit with a 2" leveling kit. Stock Rims? What did they rub on? Do you have a tuner or anything like that?

I usually add a picture to my Photobucket account and the copy the link and post it in the forum so you can see the pic without having to open a new window.

I think my tires were too wide and not too tall.
I have an 89 suburban with 35x12.50x16s and I had to trim the running boards but no lift kit.

4" lift in front, 0" lift in rear, 35x12.50r17 Toyo M/T, 19 mpg highway The tires would be wider but I have them on 6" wide rims

The dully looks good. Really the only reason to do it would be looks seeing that I have my Ford for offroad use.

Re: 2007 Dodge Ram Tires Stock or 33" or 35"

The 35's fill out the wheel well very nicely. I have smaller ones, around 33", on now and it looks too small. So when it is time to replace them I am going to go back to 35's.

Re: 2007 Dodge Ram Tires Stock or 33" or 35"

I ran 37" Toyo's on a Hummer H2 wheel with 3" of front lift on my 2005 Ram 2500 Diesel. Before the Toyo's I was clearing 37" BFG Projects on factory Dodge wheels with the same lift height. With a 2" leveling kit and factory wheels a 35" tire fits just fine. In fact, you can run a BFG 315/70/17 with 0" lift.

    Aloha
