I am pretty sure if we come to them with 30 cars BITD would have no issue having class 9 and just adopt the current rules. I know a lot of cars are not going to be SCORE legal (mine included) so I never even mentioned them.

Re: Pro-Nine 2011
The Dash is always a good race. Last year we had 11 cars start on a 50 mile loop. Awesome weather and what better way to kick off the new year! I think we could get some south of the border cars in on it too.
Anyone who speaks Spanish should get on some of there forums and promote the DRIVE race in Nov.
Im all for a CODE race next year. Their numbers seem to be good already, if we could posse up down south it could be huge.

Caliente is one of my favorite courses. If you like to get sideways in a nine car this is the race. I think everyone should try to race it even if it is not part of the pro nine series.

Re: Pro-Nine 2011
I hope in the next couple of years I can do the Baja 500, but racing south of the border is a huge expense, even if you have lower entry fees than running SCORE...when you consider pre-running, Mexican insurance, travel, stay, and chase support. To make that type of event draw a big number of racers, the promotion would have to come from the Mexican side and then a few teams from up here could travel down to compete. To think that you are going to get 20 to 30 U.S. 9-cars making the trip to Mexico is unrealistic right now.
The Pro-9 league is very cool and I hope it continues to grow. I still think to pull a lot of cars, there should be one big race a year...this year I believe it was BAP. We will see how many people will turn out for the DRIVE race. I know I've signed up to a Mexican internet forum to promote the race, and have contacted the publisher of Baja 4 Racing (www.baja4racing.com) to see what I can do about getting an add put in the magazine. Also posted messages and PM's on racedezert to attract interest from south of the border. Hopefully it will turn out to be huge. I think there have only been 2 racers that have made both Pro-9 events this year that have voted on this poll....so I would like to see what the others think, and if all of those are going to make the 3rd race.
To me the very first Big Class 9 race that was done had some real advantages to pulling lots of cars. It was centrally located (Barstow) in the biggest pool of active 9 racers, which is Southern Nevada and Southern California. Barstow provided ample hotel rooms and accomidations for those that had to travel. The event was promoted for a whole year prior to the race, and being that it was the only one it was easy to focus on. The race was a 250 which made the racing costs more affordable and easier to pit. And of course, it was the first year so there was a lot of excitement and help for the racers in race support. ....and we can't forget that the economy was a lot better.

I am in for the final race and I voted on the poll.. I like Caliente because I have heard it was fun and I see Team Rash confirmed.. dont know about the accomodations but I have a trailer..I voted for at least a two race series (dont how would you score it) and no more than 3 cause I feel one race and a DNF in that is no fun for those looking forward to Pro-Nine.
I think there is room for a "Big Race" within a Pro-Nine series.

Barring that, one of the two Wendover races.
The Wendover races are held in the spring (first weekend of May) and the fall ( second or third weekend of Sept.). Not sure on the Pony Exp. for next year, but could be Aug. or Oct. Then there is Jackpot in July, But that would be a longer drive because it is on the Idaho border.

We only have 10 people that have voted on the poll?
It pretty much appears as everyone one wants a multiple race series. Does anyone else know anyone else that would be interested in Pro-Nine that hasn't voted?

Re: Pro-Nine 2011
The poll at a glance has some conflict.. some of the voters who want multi race only made it to the first race this year and the single race votes contain two racers who have made each series race so far.. I am confused lol..
