    Racing Schools

Can anyone recommend a fun racing school to go to for either a stock car or open wheel car at either Fontana or Las Vegas? I'm looking for something fun to do for like a half day or full day, rookie type experience. Basically, I want to learn more about racing techniques and then be able to get behind the wheel for a little while.

Also, any good first hand experiences with these types of schools?

    Thanks.

I would recomend Bonduraunt in Arizona. I know of a lot of people that have gone there to improve there skills. Some NASCAR drivers go there before road course races to learn how to drive road course better. I also know one of the instructors there, he learned there then got a job teaching. http://www.bondurant.com/pages/bobhistory.html

I would say come out to the Richard Petty Driving Experience in Las Vegas. You could go to http://1800bepetty.com and see all the prices and times we run their. For the rookie class most students get between 141- 147 mph average lap speed. If you have anymore questions PM me and I will get back to you.

In Las Vegas there's Derek Daly's driving school (www.derekdaly.com). It seems to be pretty good from what I've heard. Bondurant in AZ looks pretty swee, I've heard a lot of good things from that one as well as Skip Barber in Monteray at Laguna Seca.

if you want real thrills try paul smiths top fuel drag racing school in florida, nothing like dropping the hammer on 5000+ horsepower.
or smiley sittons outlaw school down in texas, 800 horsepower 1300 pound cars on dirt.
