Thanks for the help! I found a place by my shop in Riverside called Rainbow Bolt and they were very good to work with so far.
You can also try specialty in azusa, or even g&j and mcfadden dale in ontario....

I shop at Rainbow when I need a low quantity of something and don't really care about the price. The one thing I dislike about Rainbow are their hours of operation. Everyone there is pretty good with standard fasteners but when you need a high grade "unobtanium" bolt they've never heard of it. I've had pretty good luck with Hillco - http://www.hillcofasteners.com/ and if you know exactly what you are after I've found Hillco to be pretty reasonable on price.
Aloha
better lucky than good...
For common small 12 point bolts and nuts, e-bay is very good source. Anything larger than 1/2", a regular bolt shop is better source. Remember if you choose to go 12 point, down in baja not everyone carries 12 point sockets for roadside repairs.
sharp tools throw big chips
in the aerospace industry and some for the trophy trucks and class 1 cars i have worked on, we have used Aircraft Spruce for all milspec hardware and AN fittings, they have it all ;-) and be careful with the f9-11 bolts they have a high tensile strength, but they will not give much before they break, there fatigue resistance is not the good either. A 12 point on the other hand will bend before it breaks, on robbys trophy truck we had to cut out a front suspension bolt that was bent so bad, but still working, kind of ;-)
