Fast-Aid Presents "WIN A RIDE WITH RAMSEY!"

A few weeks back Ramsey El Wardani made a generous offer to the members of this forum. Whoever was able to come closest to predicting the finishing ratio of the cars and trucks at the recent SCORE Baja 500 was gonna get to ride shotgun in Ramsey's newly acquired TrophyLite at the upcoming SNORE KC Hilites Midnight Special race in Ridgecrest, CA July 30th - Aug 1st. Well, forum member Scott Harris aka "scott-dsms" won and this is where Ramseys generosity basically got "paid forward".

Scott has generously donated his seat in Ramsey's truck to Fast-Aid to be raffled off and now YOU CAN WIN THAT SEAT.


Trophy Lite offers up huge cash prizes for their racers and this race is no exception. There is over 9k in prize money allotted for this event, and just over 5k of that is going to go to first place (the rest being divided up between second through fourth). This kind of money brings all the big dogs out to play and Ramsey is certainly a contender for the win that weekend. The raffle winner will sit alongside Ramsey as he goes door to door with the likes of Louis Chamberland, Jim Riley, Gary Messer, Pat Dailey, Austin "Fish" Farner and many others in this "dash for the cash". This will definitely be the ride of a lifetime.


How does all this work?

Tickets are $20.00 each or 6 for $100.00 and can be purchased via paypal by sending money to
donations@fast-aid.org . Please include with your purchase all relevant contact information and your vitals (full name, address, phone number, age, height, weight, and racing experience). Please note- all raffle ticket purchases are TAX DEDUCTIBLE.

VERY IMPORTANT!!! When sending the paypal payment, put "TrophyLite Donation" in the subject line in order for your raffle ticket donation to go through.


The winner will also need to purchase SNORE membership since that is required to participate in the race and that will cost $30.00 and can be paid for at tech inspection the day before the event.

It will also be the responsibility of the winner to provide their own travel to and accommodations for the event along with the necessary safety equipment (helmet/firesuit/neck restraint).

Ramsey will have final say on who gets to ride in the truck with him. No race experience is necessary however the winner will need to be able to endure the rigors of off road racing both physically and mentally.

Because off road racing is a potentially dangerous sport the winner will be required to sign an agreement releasing all involved parties from any and all liabilities prior to the race.

All entries must be made before 07/20/2010 at midnight (PST) and the winner will be announced the following day on the TORR show (www.torrshow.com) .

Fast-Aid would like to thank both Ramsey and Scott for making this fund raising opportunity possible, not to mention RDC - where a lot of this all started. The generosity of people like these is what makes off road racing great and helps a group like Fast-Aid exist and continue to make off road racing safer for everyone.

scott harris is good people. he doesn't even know he wouldn't fit in the thing anyway. now's a real good chance for someone to help a great outfit and get a chance to have a lot of fun too, so pry a few pesos out of your pocket and enter this thing and you just might get the chance to roll with a pro. c'mon guys. don't be as cheap as your girlfriend says you are. and you single guys should enter too ja ja. chicks dig co-dogs.

We have received a question about part of our announcement: "Ramsey will have final say on who gets to ride in the truck with him." As the author of the announcement please allow me to clarify what was meant there.

Ramsey will have final say on who gets to ride in the truck with him because this is a real race. The winner will need to be able to climb in and out of the truck and do so quickly in the event there is trouble on the course and evacuation of the vehicle is necessary. We also don't want Ramsey to have a passenger who will want out of the truck mid-course because they are scared. This is only for safety reasons so, if you feel you are not able to be part of a safe race experience please describe any concerns you have before buying tickets.

Being a co-driver is a big deal and carries some responsibilities. These can be explained and taught and the winner will have plenty of time to practice their role in this racing partnership prior to the race. Ramsey is a very seasoned racer with tons of experience. Frankly, he has probably forgotten more about racing than many of us will ever know and the winner will be in good great hands with him at the wheel.

Anyone with any questions regarding this please post them and Ramsey will be able to further explain what he feels would disqualify someone from the co-dog job.

I would also like to give a shout out here, as I was fortunate enough to ride with Ramsey last year at RATR. I have ridden with some of the best, and he is in that league. You will have an EXCELLENT time in Ridgecrest riding in a plush as a couch Trophylite.
