Re: Fuel cell
Thanks. Next one. What are you using at the end of the vent line, screen, mesh or some sort of filter element?

Re: Fuel cell
I know a lot of people run a little K&N filter on the end of the vent hose... personally I run it open no filter

Re: Fuel cell
Sweet. Thanks very much. I bought an older car fron the Reno, Nevada area the first of the year and did a tear down and a rebuild from the ground up. Almost ready. I pulled a bone head move and replaced the original poly cell with another poly cell. After reading rules and regs it needs to be a bladder type with a metal can around it. Live and learn. But am excited to race once done. I live in Las Cruces, New Mexico so it is hard to make it to races to see what every one is running. Thanks for your help once again. There will be more questions in the future.

Re: Fuel cell
Blow molded Polymer cells are SCORE legal......(read....plastic box) as long as it has a skin

Re: Fuel cell
It has a skin on the top and front down to the belly pan (not sides). The cell is also foam filled. I have attached a few pics.

Re: Fuel cell
I do not believe that would be counted as legal. Almost any sheet metal business will bend a box
up for you, I think I had one done for like $35. Plastic JAZ cells are fine I ran one for years and still do in my bug. As for venting, I know gasoline builds up pressure in heat so I would recomend a vent, It will also speed up the process when dumping fuel.
