    Bed liner in the cab?

Has anyone had the floor of their truck cab spray withed a bed liner? We have been tossing this idea around for a prerunner build we are doing. Any pros or cons you can think of?

A friend of mine did the whole inside of his immaculate 73' bronco. It deadens some sound, makes it easier to clean and looks good. As far as the fire factor, carpet and under padding will problably burn just as fast and be harder to put out. Every one of my trucks has a fire extinguisher on board.

I rhino lined the interior of my 94' Chevy Z71. I really liked it, no complaints. You can wash the floor with a hose, some soap, and a scrub brush.

Re: Bed liner in the cab?

I used Durabak roll-on liner in my 2006 Tacoma and it came out looking good. Everything rusts here in NJ and I wanted to keep from wearing through the paint and having bare metal exposed.

Surface prep was the biggest headache. The floor came from the factory with sound deadening material glued in place. Once that was gone, application was a snap. I went with a light color to keep the inside of the truck from collecting any more heat than it already does.

Re: Bed liner in the cab?

We always carry at least on fire extinguisher on board every vehicle as well. I will have to research the burn rate of the material. We would leave it of the tubes so welding/repairs can be more easily accomplished.

    Thanks for the feed back.

Pete, I think the bigger concern over the burn speed was the toxic fumes that were produced from it.... I remember reading that on a thread about soundproofing a roll caged vehicle...
