can you guys recommend a good external inline electric fuel pump for a 4.0 Ranger, the engine is stock and I'm installing a fuel cell, any advise on a pump? brand? maybe even a part number? anything helps, Thanks.

there are lots of good ones like aeromotive a1000. just make sure you know if its a puller or pusher pump. some pumps like to be mounted near the cell and some near the engine. I have run the aeromotive on my ranger for the last 8 years with zero issues.
Some good (and bad) info on fuel pumps in this thread,

Caution! Tony T. said I could be dangerous.
One man's fun is another's hell.
why not use the stock one. you can get them anywhere.
my last motor i used the stock one (it had 2) and on my new motor, i am going to use the stock one also.

I'm a freak about this due to the fact that I lost a race because a fuel pump issue , first off as a pump man I understand, it takes almost twice the amount of energy to suck fuel from the tank as it does to push into the system so with external pump you are at a disadvantage, so I was way overkill with ours . the primary pumps-2 were mounted inside the tank, never had a problem, we secured them right, second we had a bronco 2 external pump mounted where easy to get to with a second bronco two pump mounted on hose clamps ready to trade out if needed, yes over kill I know but we never had fuel problems again, and never needed to even use the external pumps, internal are the way to go IMO.
If you think can or can't,your right!!!!
thanks for the ideas guys.
