Robby Gordons Team called About there angles
It seems the rg tt is having angle issue's , there v-drive is 5 degree's off 90 with the motor seeing how its made for a boat and all . the driveline angles are less than perfect -it appears the mcmillians may have experimented with phasing on the shaft , the details are sketchy and info is not flowing in that direction. But I have an idea about phasing that may help the problem , I hope to get a chance at exectuing it . Jess

Re: Robby Gordons Team called About there angles
If I can crack the problem It would be neat , and I'd learn something new - Its going to require me seeing there rig though and like I told Him I'd guess 4 hours of manipulating things and I think I could crack it -I know what to look for ,I'd need to make a moch up driveline that is completly adjustable easily so I could phase the shaft and check the phase contact areas to see how close I am . There is math that I could use but it would take a good part of a large chalk board and many hours to figure . I am more hands on that that . If there was room I'd run 2 cv's -and they would be my new ones I just developed ,because there running the 1 1/2 -1 reduction and this puts more stress on the driveline , But I would be asking allot because they would have to re-bar amny parts of the truck . If I can get there team to bring it up I will post up some pic's assuming there cool with it - Jess

Well he is not hard to find! how many purple Rolls Royces are there doing 100 mph accross any desert to help any and everyone that may need it on a moments notice. Oh and does it not only for free, but at great expense to himself.......
Dont take it personal - He chimes in from time to time with wisdom, expertise and experince. The rest of the time it is just bull$hit to entertain himself and the rare few that think they understand him....

When the Mcmillans bought the TT from robbie a few years back they contacted Raven Engineering to figure out why the truck was spitting out driveshafts they determined the extreme angles that were built into the truck needed to be fixed Dynotech told them the same thing later. the pinion angle at full droop was somewhere around 20 degrees not good.
