SUPERCOURSE #4 - Better Than Ever! - Aug 14

We are pulling all the stops to offer one of the most unique courses (Saturday, Aug 14, 8 a.m. start) we've ever used in Cal City. A lot of the course will be through never-before-used terrain. We're looking to lay out a 13-to-15 mile course for the 2-hour Super-C.

Friday night registration at Pizza Factory between 6 p.m. and 9 p.m.
Friday pre-running: Between 12:00 p.m. Noon and 5 p.m. Course will be marked by Friday morning.
We saw Mike Childress again last night and if he can clear his schedule, he'll come out to race with us and we'll make him the "Cheetah" (this time--no more rabbit), faster-than-a-speeding-bullet and put a "bounty" on his head once again. You beat him for the Overall, and would you believe you win a brand new Ferrari..? How bout a Camary...? Would you believe a used 1987 Pontiac? Or how about a nice prize like free entries, etc., maybe even cash.

I'm thinking about racing this on my XR400. I guess I would enter the newbie class. The course looks super fun from what I can see from google earth.
I was out in Cal City and I had a lot of fun this past weekend.

A couple of questions though-
Is the number #721X open?
How is the IRC tracking unit powered? (Do I have to carry a battery in my backpack?)
Are there a bunch of rocky hill climbs? I'm not a big fan of rocky hill climbs.

Lou provides the numbers for his racers.the tracking unit is self powered.and yes there are usually some rocky hill climbs but nothing too bad.

That's a great video Biil. I wonder why I can't get sound out of it? Is it me or others have the same problem? Regardless, great video. We'll try to get it posted on our website www.altavistaevents.com as soon as Stephen gets to it.
