OSHKOSH, Wis. – In Traxxas TORC Series Presented by AMSOIL PRO 2WD competition this year, Jeremy McGrath has made a lot of quality passes, but few were as good as the one he made Friday night at the Oshkosh Speedzone Raceway. Running neck-and-neck with class points leader Rob MacCachren, the former motocross champion was able to muscle past Rob Mac in the tight infield hairpin corner to take and keep the runner-up spot. For that move, McGrath earned the Bosch Power Pass.
On Saturday night in the PRO 4WD category, it was motorsports mayhem at its best as Johnny Greaves, Rick Huseman, and Scott Douglas all fought for the lead. But in the end, as they all faced crash damage and other issues, it was Mike Jenkins, seemingly out of nowhere, taking the pass for the lead and his second-ever PRO 4 win. In addition to the victory, Jenkins was awarded Saturday’s Bosch Power Pass.
McGrath and Jenkins both receive the Bosch Power Box 360, a music machine that isn’t your average boombox. Inside its rugged aluminum and rubber roll case, the 360 packs full 360-degree speakers for all-around sound, a weather-sealed media bay for an iPod, a powered USB port for charging cell phones, MP3 and WMA support for the SD card slot, external auxiliary ports, a built-in battery bay for either charging tool batteries or powering the Power Box itself, an illuminated LCD display, and a remote control for cranking up the music while cranking up the saw. It’s the perfect sound system for the worksite and its toughness represents the hardcore attitude of the TORC Series’ drivers.
