Help me sell my 7200 race motor...

i hope im not out of line with this..... does any body know of any other good places to post a 550 HP.. 5.0 Liter chevy v6.. for sale,
i have listed it here on the RDC classifieds for a monthes...even payed for the commercial ad a time or two....and i have had no interest in the v6 race motor...i figured it would have all ready sold...whats the deal.... am i asking way to much ( im asking 18k obo)...i have over 40k invested in this motor ( specs are in the classified ad here on rdc)....the days of winning class 7200 with less than 500 hp are over....i figure someone really wants this Chevy Race v6.... you guys have any tips to sell the engine?? i will pay a 1k finders fee to anyone who brings me a buyer......i am moving to the TT class and really need to sell this in the next month or two....help....

someone has to know a guy, that knows a guy, that needs a chevy v6 race motor????

busch motors are not all that hard to come by Ive heard of more than a few this year going for around 6000.00-7500.00

first off when you get a bush motor for that price and plan to use it for offroad racing, it is pretty much just a core, you wont be using much...you have to spend another 10-15 k on parts on top of your 7,500 purchase...for off road you would change the carb, oil system, rocker ratio, cam, valvetrain, pistions, more displacement...etc LOTS to do and spend, to turn a worn out bush motor into a desert racing motor....My motor all ready has all that done and so much more....it is also COMPLETE, (brakets, pullys, belts, fuel pump, oil system, carb, air cleaner, ignition, flexplate, coil, dist, spark plugs and wires....it is RACE READY and comes with everything you need to race! this is not a 15 year old bush motor, it is a fresh DESERT RACING motor! big difference

I have seen all aluminum trophy truck motors for sale lately from 10-20k, maybe you price is a little high for this economic climate. Two years ago you probably could have gotten your asking price in a matter of days.

thats the type post i was looking for... i will lower the price... now asking 15k OBO...did i mention i hate the economy... know any other good places to advertise or any good leads to sale?

you guys know any good motor builders that take trade ins??... looking for a strong chevy ls series motor ..... i know trade in sounds crazy...but.....you never know till you ask

Um actually no. 15k to be race ready? I know several people who did it for far less. And they where complete with drysump pumps\pulleys ect. But im not trying to start a pissing match just voicing my opinion. And I also am a hater of the economy....,
