    Used quad

I am looking into a used quad for my daughter. E start and reverse are key requirements for her. She has ridden for 10 years and is 13 now. I was thinking of a used 300EX. She doesn't ride more than 2-3 times a year so I don't want to drop a ton of money on one. I am more of a 2 wheel guy so any input from some of you quad guys out there would be appreciated.

    Re: Used quad

I would recommend the Suzuki ltz 400. THey are pretty mellow all stock and my girlfriend and a bunch of others that we camp with have these and their kids love em. Reverse, e-start, super torquey for slow riding and can be piped and opened up later on when she wants more hp.

I dont have kids so I could be recommending something too big but a 300 is pretty much the same size frame wise.

I just did a ride with Dirt Wheels Magazine on this quad last week and loved it.plenty of suspension and the motor to handle it.and yes with a pipe and air filter later on plenty of room to grow.I really enjoyed riding it.Two thumbs up on the Suzuki LTZ400

you can find those cheaper on CL. even my 01 400 ex is electric start, really don't need reverse on a quad.

I had a raptor with reverse, used it sometimes.

if the 13 year old has been riding without it for 10 years it prob would not matter much. but if the price is right why not have it, I guess.

I would vote for a raptor, never outgrow that one.
