4130 Clothing, an offroad racing apparel brand under 4130 Industries is seeking to hire two new sales representatives. We are looking for motivated individuals with solid industry connections throughout the action sports world. We are willing to coach so you can get accustomed to the brand and what 4130’s all about, but we are looking for social people with several pre-existing accounts that know how to pitch a fresh new brand to your buyers and seal the deal upon the 1st presentation.
4130 has focused on selling the brand mainly through our online website at www.4130clothing.com and sales have steadily increased ever since we emerged in the off road industry back in March of 2007. We also have had great success at races, events, and industry trade shows over the past 3 years. Selling the clothing in person to the dedicated fans of the motorsports industry is what really helped to establish 4130 amongst the hardcore race teams and fans within the off road nation.
When No Fear Inc. decided to pick up our line of clothing we realized the serious potential in wholesaling 4130 Clothing in large quantities to different retail stores across the nation. We have been receiving more and more dealer inquiries over the past couple months from many different types of accounts and it’s time to take a hold of them. The cool thing is that because we have not tapped into the wholesale market too deeply yet, there are a very large amount of open accounts for new sales reps to claim as their own. From privately owned fabrication shops to large corporate chains of stores, even international distributors, all these accounts are open and waiting for you to lock them down!
This job requires you to both travel and work out of the 4130 headquarters. Reliable transportation is a must and a lot of work can be done from you computer either at home or in our offices. All we require is that we meet with our sales people at the beginning of each week Monday morning and at the end of the week, Friday afternoon. In between those days you are free to work from wherever you please whether it’s at home, on the road, or in our comfortably air-conditioned building.
When 4130 attends races and events to sell product to our fans and customers, our reps are more than welcome to come out and run the vendor booth for the same percentage of commission that you will make by selling 4130 clothing to your wholesale accounts. All admissions and event fees will be covered for you by 4130. We always put on a good show, sell tons of product, and have a great time with all our drivers and promo girls at every event we attend!
Pay is purely commission based upon the gross sales numbers of each sales representative. We do not provide any hourly wages, salary pay, benefits of any type, or per job payments. Incentives are involved and bonuses will be worked out according to sales volume, but in the end each sales person is hired as an independent contractor for a minimum of one year. At that point we can review the status of your employment and entertain the idea of hiring you on as an employee of 4130 Industries if you are performing exceptionally well and going above and beyond the rest.
To compensate for the lack of hourly or salary wages, we have decided to double the amount of commission which we will pay you. Standard commission rates within the wholesale apparel industry is 4% - 7% for both inside and outside sales reps. We are going far beyond that by offering 20% commission on the 1st order from each new account you gain and 15% commission on any order placed by that same account after the initial order.

Located conveniently off the 78 freeway right in the middle of the 15 and 5 freeways, we are roughly an hour away from Orange County, the Inland Empire, and the more southern parts of San Diego.

Requirements:
• Valid Drivers License
• Reliable transportation
• 18+ years old
• Laptop Computer
• General computer software skills with MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint
• Computer skills with customer/account tracking software such as ACT
• Ability to manipulate PDF files, images, videos, websites, and E-mailing software
• Cell phone with email and picture capabilities
• 2+ years of sales experience
• Close connections to businesses within the action sport world
• Positive attitude and easily approachable
• Must posses problem solving skills. NO quitters!
• The ability to close a deal and up sell more product to your accounts
• General knowledge of the decorated apparel industry
• General knowledge of off road racing industry (bikes, trucks, buggies, BMX, Radio Control, UTVs, quads, sand rails, etc.)
• Able to work well with others on the 4130 team and in the field with our customers
• Highly organized and self motivated
• Attention to detail in every aspect of business
• High School Diploma or GED
• Sets goals and sticks to a dedicated sales schedule
• General marketing knowledge to help increase sales
• Open minded and opportunistic
• Business minded and money hungry
