Most friendly, helpful people I have met in the off road racing community.
It was not on the course hence the DQ, but I agree they are nice people

Re: DRIVE / FiberwerX Townsel Memorial "All Or Nothing" Race
Click on the video below and stop it between 05:37 and 05:39. You will see...if you look close...ONE white sign off to the left in a bush. You know as well as everyone that there has to be 2 or 3, one on the left, one in the middle, preferably, and one on the right. If you only see one sign and it's on the left of you AND the course than you are legal. You can see the line he took right there and only one sign. He was even told that they wanted to put the proper signage but that the ground was to hard to put a post in right there. If you go to 05:42 you will see just how close it is. At 05:45 is were they come together. Note how little it really is. If the proper signage was in place no problem but to DQ someone whom is great for the sport, has a reputation to uphold and never raced with this organization is ridiculous. D.R.I.V.E. has a group of 5 guys that will look at this before the DQ is final. I hope they man-up and admit they didn't have the signs to prevent someone from picking that line.

video is no worky, please put a link...... Ok I see now, well going straight and not turning would be cutting the course, and it might have saved him 2 seconds a lap, and 8 laps is 16 seconds, that is what Cully was behind. I know it is a tid bit, but the BLM is really cracking down on this and there can not be new lines in a marked course according to the BLM so the deed is done, and no one should be saying it is Looney's or Ballards fault and that they are cheaters, new rules new times down in Plaster City so let's follow them!!!!!

.
Why did no else take the line if it was part of the course?? Not one other 1450 truck took that line, I guess all the other driver are wrong then. Every other racer knew what the signage meant and was able to go the correct way. If a group of racers were doing it then I could see you justify it but no it was not a group of racers....just one.....Looney's fan club is making this a big deal no was trying to make it a big deal, we were trying to keep it on the down low because we all know Looney and his team are good people, but you guys keep bringing it up and making his name look bad

..........since some people can't get over the Looney DQ issue, let me remind you of Doug's post........

I think it's pretty clear, as well as official, that they DQ'd and the Looney's have accepted it professionally.....no one is trying to smear their name and I'm pretty sure everyone knows they are good people.....so stop trying to create hostility within the class and towards DRIVE when its only going to have a negative impact on keeping the racing going.
