How did you learn solidworks/CAD

I started in cad when i was 13 and played with that until solid works 2006 came out and then just self taught. Then i had two solidworks classes in my freshman year in college but was done with all the projects within two weeks. So i decided to move on to design my own chassis. But for me it was just all self teaching and trial and error.

I went through the certificate program for Machine Technology at Orange Coast College then cad school for a year, all in 2d Autocad. After designing complex assemblies in 2d for several years on the job, switching to SW 3d was a breeze. The tutorials cover most of the things you need to learn but getting certified was beneficial to me.
