x2, way to go. most enjoyable format also, got to see other classes run, do drivers changes, etc.. under no pressure. maybe add 5 miles to the next race and run the same format.

Re: DRIVE Volunteer Team goes Grand Prix
Well,
The Grand Prix is officially in the DRIVE history book and I just wanted to say thank you to all the people that played a role in making it happen.
Since this is a Volunteer Team thread I'd like to begin with all of you
From DRIVE’s extremely humble beginnings a kind-of “organization within an organization” was born: The DRIVE Volunteer Team. People from all over Southern California (and even Arizona!!!) came together as a Team to donate their time, energy, and personal resources to support off road racing. Throughout the first season the Volunteer Team grew and anyone coming out to spectate or race a DRIVE event quickly realized that every person on the Volunteer Team (just look for the red shirts!) was willing to go to great lengths to make off road racing safe, organized, professional, and FUN!
Plaster City is just a small part of the world of off road racing, but because of the efforts of every single individual that comes together for an event like the DRIVE race last weekend we guarantee that this little slice of heaven will endure.
Each DRIVE event represents something incredible to me. The fact that we as Sponsors, Racers, Volunteers, and Spectators can all come together to create an event like an off road race continuously boggles my mind. It just proves that as a Team we can create something infinitely greater than any single person’s achievement. Personally I find it difficult to find that anywhere else in my life and it’s the main reason I love the off road racing community so much.
Thank you DRIVE, thank you Volunteer Team, and thank you to all the Sponsors and Racers that made this weekend’s race such a great time. At the end of the day I feel very fortunate to have an extended Family so full of incredible people. You all amaze and inspire me…
I will have a DRIVE Volunteer Team race re-cap done in a couple days that tells more of the story than my simple thank you above.
Once again: THE VOLUNTEER TEAM ROCKED!!!!!

Way to pull it all together people. We could not do these things with out the volunteers.
Consider yourselves part of our team.

Re: DRIVE Volunteer Team goes Grand Prix
Great Race, Drive is better organized than ever. I have worked a lot of races going back to the Days of Fud and the Fudpucker gang and things are safer then ever.
We spent our day pulling stuck cars out of the silt. Some of them, more then once. We had a great crew along with Rover 76. See you all next Race.
