2011 DRIVE race schedule???

Charging a small fee to all spectators is a great Idea. They do it down in the CODE series. I'm not sure How that would be implemented since it is a big area....

I hate the fact that I never got to race DRIVE, We did volunteered in some races, but we never got to race in PC....Perhaps a PRO-10 Race??

somebody explain how it would even be possible to charge the spectators at Plaster City ? It's an open riding area and there are a million ways in and out of there ! Yea Rick it is to bad you never made a DRIVE race at plaster city .... It would have been a blast ! When and where are you racing again ?

We just got our new engine from CBM. An Ecotec and should be back in the desert pretty soon.
We plan on racing the CODE race ready 275 for sure....(its a MUST, it starts in Mexicali and ends in SAn Felipe) maybe a race in October...maybe CODE or SNORE for sure....

Aside from charging for admisssion, how about selling merchandise...shirts, stickers, keychains....

I think its great that there are a handfull of people that want to see racing in PC again and a small group of volunteers, racers, and sponsors that busted their butts long before the Cal 200 accident to try to make something happen. All you guys and gals are amazing people...unfortunately a hand full, and a small group, isn't enough to cover the cost of putting on a race post Cal 200.

I can say that the local business community is wanting to see something happen and that is a step in the right direction. Only time will tell.

I'm just some schlub who has been going to the PC desert since I could walk...never raced, but spectated a bunch and even volunteered a couple of times back in the late 80's/early 90's for Fud...I don't know the first thing about what it takes to organize the races, but just recently I had the thought of what would it take to set up a natural short course out there? Could a promoter get a permit to set up a temp "fence" around a mile or two square and run short course type races inside that? I know you couldn't do any dirtwork with tractors or anything like that, but are the approved courses set up in such a manner that something could be layed out for both speed, technical and spectator? I'm probably just rambling, but isn't that what most of the internet is for?
