Mexico Gas stations (Pemex Rip offs)

About two days ago me and a Buddy went out To scout for the best place to Film. we Had our Truck and Trailer with the bikes in the Trailer. Went to Go fill up at a Pemex. Told the Guy $100 US dollars He started filling the bikes first, then the Truck. I went to into the Gas station to buy some Junk food. Came back out and Gave the $100 US to the guy he printed out the Recipt Gave it to us and we left. About And hour of driving Down the Highway I noticed that the Gas tank was almost empty. I looked at the Recipt and He only put $50 US into the Tank.
Yea I was a liitle angry about it!
But Please Please, Check your recipts and make sure the guy fills your Tank!
Also make sure that you check your Recipt and make sure you get the full amout back. I find that it is very common for them to take a few bucks out for themselfs!

Trusting any of those PEMEX guys is a huge mistake on your part. Pump the gas yourself next time and check your fuel gauge before you leave the station to make sure it pumped what you needed.

Seems like you made a couple mistakes, and taking your own advice would have been a start. Hard to blame the pemex gas assistant, he might have thought it was a tip?

At least we can learn from your lost $50. This should be added to the "baja travel warning - rule #1,987,265.3" thread...

They do not let you do that. Just gotta sit there and watch.

Chalk it up to a learning experience...

Stay in the truck, watch the pump. When done covert Liters to gallons and make sure its how much you needed to be full. Then pay in pesos.

Make sure the numbers on the pump always start at 0.

I lost my gas cap on a Jaz cell once because the guy didn't put it back on right.
