UH, what was this thread about again?
If guns kill people, do pencils misspell words?

I could not agree more, Billy. To my knowledge, this guy was a Baja Rookie. Unfortunately, several people have to pay for his rookie foolishness.
I really wish we could come up with a licensing program for Class 1 and TT.

The Mayhem RG alluded to at the driver's meeting
Kudos to Kent and Jeremy. I am glad to have guys like you in our sport. Thank god you guys were on scene as fast as you were or this could have been much, much worse.
Kent and Jeremy are heroes in my book. 'Nuff said!!

100% right. The stupidity of which some off-roaders and fans display is mind boggling.

Re: The Mayhem RG alluded to at the driver's meeting
If you guys would allow me a minute, I'd appreciate it.
Theres a member of this forum who loosely associates himself with SCORE INTERNATIONAL / SCORE Race Rescue and I'd like to have a chance to clarify a few things.
67Cummins WAS a contract Race EMT [ not a Race MEDIC. Those who have EMS knowledge know thats 2 different levels of training & education with medic being the higher level ]. His services were utilized at 2 races [ not the "several" he has mentioned on other threads ]. After the 2nd race, it was determined that his services would not be needed for future races with SCORE INTERNATIONAL and his contract wasn't renewed. At that time, Paul Fish and company received memos regarding this topic. This took place over a year ago.
67Cummins has a right to his opinion [ right or wrong ] and we respect that but feel enough has not been demonstrated by 67Cummins to disassociate himself from SCORE INTERNATIONAL / SCORE Race Rescue while voicing those opinions.
As you can see from other SCORE Race Rescue members on this forum [ and there are more than a handful on here ] that we try very hard to not draw negative attention to ourselves or SCORE INTERNATIONAL, instead remaining positive and aligning ourselves to work on ways to continually better the safety aspect of this sport.
Presently, 67Cummins has ZERO affiliation with SCORE INTERNATIONAL / SCORE Race Rescue .
On a positive note, we'd like to say Good job to Kent and crew. They could have easily looked the other way and bailed out of a nasty situation but they chose to take the higher road and stay.
Thank you.

I hope they feel bad for what happened, and should be doing whatever they can for the victim and his family. We are guests in Mexico and should feel grateful to the land owners for letting us "play" on their land. If you watch Pistol Pete's teaser video, you can see just how quick someone can come from nowhere. We are not "Rockstars" when we go down there to race, but some people think that they are "godlike" and can do whatever down there with no consequences. This kind of thinking needs to be squashed.

I'm not sure who was actually driving the truck.

Does Fast Aid cover racers who get their ass kicked by other racers?
