Brian Cale here. I live in Yuma Az. I haven't been involved in truck racing since around 1985 when I used to *hang out* with Mike Doherty (aka OldSchool8). I used to chase and pit for him, hang out in his shop, and we even used a part of his race shop to build a SCORE Class 3 Jeep CJ7. I traded him a brand new Millermatic 35 mig weldor for helping me with the contruction/fab of the Jeep while I was busy (USAF, Nuclear Security. Stationed there in Tucson from 1980 to 1983). Great days, great folks. Barstow 250, Glen Helen, Parker 400, Firebird Lake short course, Mint 400, Riverside short course, boy those were some great racin' days! He always did his best and worked his ass off. Those races were a blast to go to as well. (thanks for the fun, Mike!)

My wife Missi and I used to hang out with Mike and his significant other back then. Around 1985 we all sorta drifted apart. 25 years later here we are.

So that's my only previous involvement with truck-type racing. I spent most of my years on motorcycles and ATVs. We livee a few miles from the dunes, for a while there we nearly lived out there! Duning (used to be) some of the greatest fun on dirt. (Times have changed, but that's fodder for an entire thread!). Raced District 38 on a support ride with Yamaha on a Banshee in 1988. Had fun, did ok. Until I stepped off at 103+ and that slowed me down in the dirt for a while.

So I thought it prudent to get out of dirt racing and get into streetbike racing. Y'know, because it's so much safer (holy crap ... manlogic ... y'gotta wonder!).

So that's my story and I'm stickin' to it!
