Ford Ecoboost Baja 1000 Torture Test video
they released the video today from the Baja 1000 on the Ecoboost engine stuff that the Ford guys have been working on. I thought you all might like it. It was a crazy adventure.... This was a combined Ford and General Tire race effort with Randy Merritt and Mike McCarthy for this years race.

Not sure if you guys have seen this... I know it's not a desert buggy but I think it's pretty sick!

I vote for Mike Rowe to narrate every off road video from now on. I think this is the best thing ford could have done to prove the new motor. What tranny do McCarthy and Merritt run?

Re: Ford Ecoboost Baja 1000 Torture Test video
I manage a fleet of over 100 Fords, a handful of Toyotas, and one GMC. We have followed this engine development with great interest and from an investment stand point, the EcoBoost price point option vs. increased fuel economy, increased work load, potential increased resale value over the life of the vehicle in our fleet could pencil out to be a success however, I find one thing disappointing in this whole venture.....
that the marketing geniuses at Ford had to substitute the sound of a twin turbo V6 with that of a Class 1 or TT V8 in the Baja torture test video, other than that I think this engine package is going to be a winner and can’t wait to drive one....
